Owen`s wages slashed!

Newcastle striker Micheal Owen is set to get a wage cut of £25,000, the former Anfield man is currently on £105,000 a week but has been offered a new contract at Newcastle which consists of £80,000 a week.
Owen has suffered form a series of injuries after leaving Real Madrid in 2005 but has still proved over and over again that he is a top goalscorer. Owen is a free agent this summer and rumour has it he will wait till his contract runs out at St James park and sign for a free agent to one of the top four clubs to play Champions league football.

Owen is class and a player of his quality should be playing in the Champions League, if i was him i would delay contract talks and sign for a club winning trophies and playing European football.

Ramos wants Young at the Bernabeu!

Real Madrid boss Juande Ramos wants to bring Ashley Young to the Bernabeu.
Aston Villa man Young has been on top form lately helping his side break into the top 4 in the Premier league. The 23 year old joined Aston Villa from Watford in January 2007 and since then has become a top Premier league player, recently Martin O Neil has said "Young is a genius and is worth 27 million".
New boss Ramos wants to make a big statement at Madrid by signing the tricky winger but is worried about the 27 million price tag but might put in a sly bid of 20 million to tempt Villa.
In my opinion Young is to inexperienced to make a big move to Madrid and should concentrate on playing in the Premier League

City set to make a 50 million bid for Spanish superstar!!

Manchester City are set to make a shock 50 million bid for Liverpool ace Fernando Torres.

City are determined to bring top players to their club and the latest man to be linked with the blues is Torres, Mark Hughes has stated he would love to see the former Atletico Madrid man at The City of Manchester stadium.

Torres only signed for Liverpool at the start of the 2007-08 season for a club record of £20 million. The 24 year old had a great season in his first year at Anfield scoring 24 league goals and also played a major role for Spain in securing the UEFA Euro 2008 and was named in the team of the tournament alongside strike partner David Villa. This season so far has been a disappointment to El Nino due to a series of injuries.

It is said that Torres will stay faithfull to the Reds but who knows what will happen if your offered £300,000 a week.
