Owen`s wages slashed!

Tuesday, December 16, 2008

Newcastle striker Micheal Owen is set to get a wage cut of £25,000, the former Anfield man is currently on £105,000 a week but has been offered a new contract at Newcastle which consists of £80,000 a week.
Owen has suffered form a series of injuries after leaving Real Madrid in 2005 but has still proved over and over again that he is a top goalscorer. Owen is a free agent this summer and rumour has it he will wait till his contract runs out at St James park and sign for a free agent to one of the top four clubs to play Champions league football.

Owen is class and a player of his quality should be playing in the Champions League, if i was him i would delay contract talks and sign for a club winning trophies and playing European football.

Ramos wants Young at the Bernabeu!

Monday, December 15, 2008

Real Madrid boss Juande Ramos wants to bring Ashley Young to the Bernabeu.
Aston Villa man Young has been on top form lately helping his side break into the top 4 in the Premier league. The 23 year old joined Aston Villa from Watford in January 2007 and since then has become a top Premier league player, recently Martin O Neil has said "Young is a genius and is worth 27 million".
New boss Ramos wants to make a big statement at Madrid by signing the tricky winger but is worried about the 27 million price tag but might put in a sly bid of 20 million to tempt Villa.
In my opinion Young is to inexperienced to make a big move to Madrid and should concentrate on playing in the Premier League
